Krafty Owl was not born in a boardroom. It was born in the quiet chaos of raising triplets.
Swati Gupta — mother, entrepreneur, and the heart behind Krafty Owl — will tell you that the idea came to her not as a business plan, but as a frustration she simply couldn't ignore.
Raising two boys and a girl at the same time is its own beautiful adventure. But as any parent of young children knows, the real challenge isn't just the birthdays, the school runs, or the bedtime routines. It's the constant search for things that are genuinely good for your children. Things that spark curiosity. Things that pull little hands away from screens and into the real, tactile, colourful world around them.
Swati wanted craft kits her kids would actually want to open. She wanted return gifts she could give at birthday parties without feeling like she was handing out plastic that would end up forgotten in a drawer by evening. She wanted DIY activity products that would challenge her children, delight them, and give them something to proudly show off. She looked everywhere — local markets, online stores, international brands. And again and again, she came back empty-handed.
The quality wasn't there. The personalisation wasn't there. And the age-appropriateness? Almost never.
That gap — that very specific, very real gap — became Krafty Owl.
A Family Legacy That Made It Possible
What turned Swati's frustration into a brand was the incredible foundation she already had around her. When she married into the Gupta family, she married into decades of expertise in printing, decor, and manufacturing. An in-house studio. Hands-on knowledge of materials. A deep understanding of quality that doesn't cut corners.
Suddenly, the gap she had always felt as a mother had a solution she could actually build.
She didn't just want to start a business. She wanted to create something that other parents — who were silently searching for the same things she once was — could finally rely on.
More Than a Brand. A Solution.
When Swati's friends and family first started calling her for help with gifting — "Swati, you always know where to find the good stuff" — she realised she wasn't alone. Across living rooms, WhatsApp groups, and birthday parties all over India, parents were settling. Settling for ordinary because extraordinary simply wasn't available.
Krafty Owl exists to change that.
Every product we create is designed with two people in mind: the child who receives it, and the parent who gives it. We believe that a truly great gift is one that a child reaches for again and again — and that a parent feels proud to have chosen. We believe in reducing screen time not by taking something away from children, but by giving them something so joyful, so hands-on, so theirs — that they simply forget to reach for the remote.
We are not the biggest brand. But we are the most intentional one.
Every name tag, every craft kit, every personalised tote that leaves our studio in New Delhi carries with it the weight of a mother's search, a family's craft, and a genuine belief that children deserve better — and so do the parents who love them.
